On this tour you visit the cosmopolitan city of
Mumbai, the commercial capital and the most affluent city in India
with lots of history and culture. It is also home to Indian film
industry- Bollywood. Goa is the land of golden beaches, clear blue
skies, and excellent beach resorts with water sports facilities, good
food and lifting music.
Day 1 London to Mumbai - Fly with Air India to Mumbai. Meet and
assist on arrival and transfer to your hotel for two nights. Bombay,
the commercial capital of India, is the centre of industry, commerce
and foreign trade. Besides being the major port of India, this
cosmopolitan city is the fastest moving, most affluent and
industrialized city in India. It is home to the Indian film industry –
Bollywood.
Day 2 Mumbai - City tour of Mumbai includes visit to Mani
Bhavan, Prince of Whales Museum, the Gateway of India and Dhobi Ghat.
Drive along the Marine Drive, famous as the Queen's necklace, Crawford
Market and pass by 'Towers of Silence' of the Parsis, who settled in
Bombay in 1670.
Day 3 Mumbai to Goa - Fly to Goa and transfer to your hotel for
seven nights. Sun, sea and sand combine to make Goa an ideal place to
rest. With its 100 Km of coastline, it is a land of Golden beaches set
against a backdrop of coconut palms and green rice fields. Panjim, the
capital of Goa, retains a strong Portuguese flavor. Parts of the town
have narrow winding streets with numerous cafes and small bars; many
still have their signs in Portuguese.
Days 4 - 9 Goa - At leisure. Take a half day tour of Old Goa
and Panjim (Optional).
Day 10 Goa to London - Return flight to Mumbai, connecting
International flight to London.
